Candied Yams
Recipe Ingredients:
  • 6 large yams
  • 12 oz. orange juice concentrate
  • 1 1/2 pounds brown sugar
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
Parboil potatoes in skins. Peel and quarter.

Mix remaining ingredients together. Bring syrup to boil, check and season to taste.

Add potatoes to syrup and cook until potatoes are tender. This dish may be made in advance and frozen.
