Broccoli
Recipe Ingredients:

fresh green broccoli

Wash broccoli. If necessary, peel back any tough outer peelings on the stems. This is usually not necessary. Cut into long spears. Place in microwave vegetable dish, cover. Microwave on high, using 5 minutes per pound of vegetable as a basic guide. Usually one "grocery store" bunch of broccoli will take about 5 minutes. Do not overcook.

Broccoli -- Vegetable -- Vegetarian

Broccoli is a plant of the Cabbage family.

Roman references to a cabbage family vegetable that may have been broccoli are less than perfectly clear.
