Slice off the stem and then slice off the tops of each evenly about 1
inch down. Wash very well.
Place lemon slices in casserole dish, and
place the artichokes upside down on top of lemon slices. Drizzle with a
little olive oil, add salt and pepper and herbs to bottom of the dish.
Microwave on high, using about 4 minutes for each artichoke, or
until the heart is tender when pierced with a fork. Allow to stand,
right side up, for about 10 minutes before serving. .
