Combine sugar, cornstarch,
and salt in a large
saucepan. Our low
heat, add corn syrup and
water. Cook, stirring until
mixture thickens and starts
to boil. Add
cranberries and cook until
the skins pop.
Preheat over 425 degrees F.
Line a 9" pie plate with
pastry. Combine apples
and nuts and add to
cranberry mixture. Spoon
into pie shell. Dot
with margarine. Arrange top
crust. Pierce top
crust and bake 45 minutes. |
