1 pound Italian fettuccine or other type pasta
1/2 small onion, diced
2 tbls butter
6 oz. heavy cream
ground black pepper
1 tbls fresh basil, chopped fine

To prepare sauce and pasta:

Cook fettucine or other type pasta until al dente. Meanwhile, saute onion in butter till soft in a heavy skillet or cast iron frying pan. Note: Some Jews do NOT mix dairy and Fish.  You would have to try substitution for dairy products.

Kosher Italian -- Sauces -- Fish -- Noodles and Pasta

Cooking Tips:  Fettuccine (literally "little ribbons" in Italian) is a type of pasta. It is a very flat, thick noodle made of egg and flour, similar to tagliatelle.

In Italian cuisine, it is traditionally made fresh (either at home or commercially), but dried versions also exist on the market.
