Bittersweet Passover Brownies
Dairy - Yields 24 brownies

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 7 ounces Elite bittersweet chocolate
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup matzo cake meal
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt chocolate and margarine in top of double boiler over hot water. Cool. Beat eggs and salt in mixing bowl until

thick and lemon-colored. Gradually beat in sugar. Add cooled chocolate mixture and blend. Add matzo cake meal and beat until well blended.

Stir in nuts.

Spread evenly in a well-greased 9 x 13 baking pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Do not over bake.
