Chili Roasted Turkey Breast
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin (optional)
  • 14 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crushed
  • 1 (5 lb.) turkey breast with bone

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    In bowl, blend all ingredients except turkey and let sit 5 minutes.

    In 13 x 9 inch pan place turkey meaty side up. Brush soup mixture over turkey, tent with aluminum foil.

    Roast 1 hour, basting once. Remove foil and continue roasting for 1 hour or until meat thermometer reaches 180 degrees and turkey is no longer pink.

    Let stand, tented with foil, for 10 minutes.
