Jewish Recipes --> Recipes --> Kosher Meat --> Bison --> Bison Chile

Bison Chile

 2 pounds Bison Flanken
1 medium onion, chopped
1 4 oz bag Pearl Barley
2 lbs potatoes (cut into 1" cubes)
2 Tbsps Garlic Powder
1 Tbsp Dark Molasses
2 Tbsps Salt
1 Tbsp ketchup
4 oz small white beans
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
Water to Cover

In a slow cooker (such as a Crock Pot) place all ingredients and cover with water. Cook on low heat setting for 12 to 20 hours. Cholent is a wonderful age-old traditional Shabbat dish, made even better with bison!

Recommended: Serve with He'Brew Ale
