Bison Cholent

Recipe Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds Bison Flanken
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 4 oz bag Pearl Barley
  • 2 lbs potatoes (cut into 1" cubes)
  • 2 Tbsps Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Dark Molasses
  • 2 Tbsps Salt
  • 1 Tbsp ketchup
  • 4 oz small white beans
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Water to Cover

In a slow cooker (such as a Crock Pot) place all ingredients and cover with water. Cook on low heat setting for 12 to 20 hours. Cholent is a wonderful age-old traditional Shabbat dish, made even better with bison!
