Cevapcici (meat rolls)

Recipe Ingredients:
  • 200 grams (7 ounces) ground beef
  • 200 grams (7 ounces) ground lamb
  • 1 tablespoon onion
  • Olive oil
  • 1 cup water
  • Pepper, paprika, salt
Mince the meat, add the finely cut onion and the spices. While kneading, (mixing) add 1 cup water in small portions. Form thumb-sized rolls and drip oil on them before frying them in a hot pan.

Serves 2

Serve with raw sliced onion, mustard, and green peppers.

Ćevapčići is the name of a popular dish in the Balkans. They are small grilled rolls of minced meat in Bosnia, Serbia and Macedonia, usually of beef and lamb. They are usually served on the plate or in lepinja or somun in Serbia and Bosnia, with chopped onions, kajmak, etc.
