slices buttered challah

1/2 pound sharp cheddar cheese (grated)

6 eggs

2 cups milk
-
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard (or regular
mustard)

salt and pepper to taste

dash of tobasco (optional)
Remove crust of challah and break or cut
into cubes. Spray 9 x 12 dish with cooking
spray. Place one layer of broken bread in
dish. Add 1/2 of grated cheese, another
layer of bread.
In a separate bowl, beat eggs with milk. Add
salt and pepper, dry mustard, and tobasco.
Pour egg mixture over the top of the
cheese/bread layers.
Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
Can be made the night before. Follow above
steps and cover overnight in refrigerator.
Bring to room
temperature prior to baking. |
