Process
eggs, oil and water until mixed. Add
remaining ingredients and process JUST until
blended. Do not over process or dough will
become tough. Let stand about 10 minutes.
Divide
dough in 4. Take one piece, coat lightly on
all sides with flour and pat into a
rectangle. Roll into a large rectangle, as
thin as possible, on a floured board.
Place a row
of filling along one side, about 1" from
edge. Roll up. Using the edge of your hand,
press down on roll, and with a sawing motion
(and a sharp knife) cut through the dough.
Repeat every 2".
Bake on a
lightly greased cookie sheet at 350 for
about 35 minutes, until golden brown.
24-30
knishes. Freezes well, but under bake
slightly. Unbaked knishes freeze well. Bake
frozen knishes at 350 for about 45 minutes. |
