Potato Liver Knishes
Yield: about 1 dozen

Prefect for Passover

Recipe Ingredients:
  • 6 boiled potatoes
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup flour or matzah meal [1]
  • 1 pound chopped liver
  • salt and pepper to taste
Mash the potatoes. Add eggs, salt, pepper, flour or matzah meal.

Form into balls. make an indentation in each ball and fill with liver. Pinch to close and flatten to form a patty.

Bake on a greased (or sprayed) baking sheet at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 35 minutes, or until lightly browned.

 

 
Cooking Tips:   [1] To make these for Passover use Matzah meal instead of flour
