Heat oven
to medium-high (375 degrees)
1. Boil
potatoes and mash them well.
2. Fry
onions in oil. When golden remove from heat
and add the spices.
3. Mix the
onions into the potatoes. Add corn (without
the liquid). Note: This makes a lot of
filling so you can cut the amounts to half.
I have made the filling with 3 potatoes but
the same amount of spices and it was good.
4. Roll out
part of the puff dough (it depends on the
size of the knish you want to make) and add
potatoes. (Again the amount depends on the
size of the knish.)
5. Repeat
for as many knishes as you want.
6. Roll up
the knish and put into oven.
7. When
dough rises lower heat to medium (300
degrees) and bake for an additional 20
minutes. |
