Serves: 8

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 10 inch tart pan (with removable bottom) with nonstick cooking spray.  Combine flour and baking powder in a medium bowl and set aside.

In large bowl, cram together margarine and 1/2 cup sugar with electric mixer at high speed.  Lower speed to medium, add egg and beat until fully combined.  Gradually add flour mixture until fully incorporated.  The dough will be very soft sticky.

Place dough in prepared pan.  With floured fingers, shape to form an even crust.  Overlap apples slices on dough, cut side down.  Combine cinnamon and 1 1/2 Tbsp, sugar and sprinkle over tart.  Bake until crust is golden brown, about 45 minutes, and let cool.

To prepare glaze, heat jam and lemon juice over medium heat, mixing until combined.  Remove from heat and gently brush over entire tart.
