Sugared Pecans

Parve

Recipe Ingredients:
  • 2 egg whites
  • 3 1/2 - 4 cups Pecan halves
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Dash of cream of tarter
  • 1 stick parve butter
  • Cinnamon

Melt margarine in jellyroll pan (cookie sheet) at 325 degrees.

Using only the egg whites, beat until stiff.

Mix cream of tarter, cinnamon and sugar together and add a little at a time to egg whites, mixing together. Fold in nuts.

Every 10 minutes turn nuts with spatula for about 30 - 40 minutes. Nuts should not get too brown.
