firm cooking pears, peeled
- 2 cups
medium red or white wine
- 1/2 cup
sugar
- 4 whole
cloves
- pinch of
ground cinnamon
Stand pears in an ovenproof baking dish,
pour over the wine, then sprinkle with
sugar, cloves and cinnamon.
Bake in a 350 degree preheated over, for
45 minutes or until the pears are tender
and the liquor is thick and syrupy. Serve
hot or cold.
