1 pound butter

6 cups flour

1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 cups sugar

2 eggs

2 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream butter and sugar well. In separate
bowl, beat eggs and mix with vanilla and
milk. Set aside.
Sift flour and mix with salt and baking
powder. Add egg mixture alternately with
flour mixture to butter and sugar mixture.
Bake on middle rack about 8-10 minutes and
then on upper rack for 2-3 minutes.
