Recipe Ingredients:
  • 12 dates (approximately)
  • juice of a tangerine or half an orange
  • 1/4 cup water
Slice dates, removing pits. Place all ingredients in a pan and heat to boiling. Turn down heat and simmer a few minutes, stirring frequently, until dates get mushy--a very technical gourmet term. Remove from heat, mash the date mixture a bit and chill.
